I think that I’m verging on bluish black (the side effects of hanging out with Carrie who soaked up the sun like she had just returned from a year in the Arctic circle). My foundation is no longer the right colour, but it all worked out because I don’t need it any more. My new skin tone is darker than the marks on my face, my skin hasn’t been this clear since the day I hit puberty. Let’s see how long it lasts. Kampala is quite dreary, without the Mombasa sun my model skin might be short-lived!

OOO-EEM-GEE, Mombasa was ah-may-zing! I have never been so blissfully unproductive in my life. We spent the day basking in the sun, water skiing, going on boat rides, I even went snorkeling. We spend the nights knocking back tequila shots with a very fun group of Italian tourists. Italians really know how to party. The only thing missing with Luke  but thanks to the wonders of Instagram he  was with us in an instant J After two days of  sending him pictures from my dream holiday he abandoned bonding time with his extended family and jetted down to join us. Bliss!

Carrie’s new (and very temporary) boyfriend used to be a model. By used to be I mean he’s old enough to be my father but has the body of a 25 year old. Very interesting combination. He’s been everywhere, seen everything and done everything. He still does a bit of work here and there but the height of his career was in the 80s. He saw the end of the Studio 54 days, he’s partied with Prince, Madonna, Michael Jackson and Run DMC. I had to hide my excitement incase Luke got the wrong impression but I felt like I was on holiday with George Clooney and I couldn’t help but stare  from time to time!

He’s invited us to Milan. Even if  I have to take a matatu, speed boat and tricycle to get there, I’ll be there!
